He may be used to receiving attention from old ladies, but singing sensation Michael Buble has now hit the right chord with animal lovers after it was announced that he has invested in an American dog food company which prides itself on helping homeless animals.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mr Buble has given financial backing to FreeHand, with Relativity Media chief executive Ryan Kavanaugh buying the comp any outright.

FreeHand produces a range of "holistic" and "natural" dry dog foods, and operates on a "buy one, give one" policy, whereby an equal amount of dog food is donated to local animal shelters for every pound that is sold.

If you want to know what your dog should be eating then consult your vet or pet nutritionist, and remember to stick to the best dog food brands such as Hills or Burns, which contain all the nutrients your pet needs for a balanced and healthy diet.
