Scruffts heats head to Dundee

Friday, 1st June 2012

The heats for this year’s Scruffts competition will be taking place in Camperdown Country Park near Dundee on June 9th.

The competition, which is dedicated to crossbreed dogs, is sponsored by James Wellbeloved and gives crossbreeds the chance the moment to shine in the dog show spotlight.

Charlotte Mann, from the pet food manufacturer, said: "At the final last year, we had a host of celebrity judge and even the Blue Peter dog, Barney came to see what it was all about.

"Every competitor also leaves with some James Wellbeloved food too, which is always very well received by our beautiful crossbreed competitors."

The winners of the Scruffts heats will go through to compete at the final, which takes place at the Discover Dogs event at Earls Court, London, in November.

There are four classes to enter dogs into; the Most handsome Crossbreed dog, the Prettiest Crossbreed Bitch, the Child’s Best Friend and the Golden Oldie.

You can enter a crossbreed dog into Scruffts for just £1 per class and all the money raised will go to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust, which funds research into canine diseases and welfare initiatives.
