Bo Obama unveils White House Christmas decorations

Friday, 30th November 2012

The First Dog of the United States, Bo Obama, has officially unveiled the White House Christmas decorations.

With the holiday season just around the corner, President Obama has followed the lead of his predecessors and added some festive touches to his Washington DC residence.

And rather than showing off the new tree and other decorations himself, the Obama administration has released a video in which Bo gives viewers a tour of a Christmassy White House.

Within the first couple of days of the short video being released, it had been viewed around 100,000 times, further cementing the Portuguese water dog's status as the world's most famous pooch.

The release of the footage comes as author Kathleen Kinsolving celebrates the release of her book 'Dogs of War', which documents the strong bonds President Roosevelt and his top generals had with their pet dogs and how their companionship helped them cope with the stresses of the Second World War.
