Wednesday, 31st August 2011

Staff at the JFK Airport in New York have been using cat food to try to track down a missing moggy.

Jack and his brother Barry were flying from New York to San Francisco as their owner, Karen Pascoe, was moving home, reports MSNBC.

However, Ms Pascoe was called after handing her feline friends in to say that Jack had gone missing in the inbound baggage area.

American Airlines spokesman Ed Martelle told the news provider: "Our JFK employees are using a variety of methods to try to find Jack, including setting cans of cat food by his kennel.

"We offer our sincere regrets for this incident and are doing everything possible to locate him."

Jack has now been missing since August 25th and a Facebook page has been set up to attract attention to the moggy's disappearance.

As of this afternoon (August 31st), the social networking page has received 6,632 fans and numerous messages of support.
