Can dogs eat bananas?
Yes – in moderation. Bananas have a high sugar content which, when eaten a lot of, can upset their tummy. A few slices are fine, but don’t feed them bananas as a main part of their diet.

Can dogs eat strawberries?
Yes, strawberries are a healthy treat for dogs in moderation and are jam-packed with antioxidants. Strawberries also have an enzyme that can help whiten your dog's teeth, but because of their high sugar content, they shouldn’t be given regularly.

Why do dogs eat grass?
Grass eating is normal for dogs, and although it doesn’t offer many nutrients, it helps their digestive system and their bowel movements run smoothly. So, if you see your dog eating grass, don’t worry.

Can dogs eat tomatoes?
No – avoid feeding tomatoes to your dog. Green parts of the tomato have a toxic substance in called solanine. Tomatoes would make your dog sick, cause an abnormal heart rate, muscle weakness, and difficulty breathing.

Can dogs eat oranges?
Yes, oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C and can be fed to your dog in moderation. But like with other fruits, too much orange can upset your dog's stomach. Don’t feed them orange peel or seeds due to traces of toxic compounds.

Can dogs eat grapes?
No – don’t ever feed your dog grapes and raisins (dried grapes), as they have toxic compounds that can result in acute kidney failure and death. Even in small amounts, your dog can become really ill.

Can dogs eat pineapple?
Yes, pineapple can be eaten in small amounts as it is full of vitamins and fibre, however, if eaten too much, it can make your dog sick or have diarrhoea.

Can dogs eat cheese?
Yes, dogs can eat small amounts of cheese. If they eat too much, they could have stomach pain and diarrhoea, so if your dog hasn't had it before, introduce it gradually. Low-fat cheese like mozzarella would be the best options.

Can dogs eat sweetcorn?
Yes, sweetcorn is a healthy option for dogs and is full of protein, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. Just make sure you take the corn off the cob, as this won't digest in their stomach and could either cause a blockage or cause perforations.

Can dogs eat carrots?
Yes, your dog can eat both raw and cooked carrot. Carrots are incredibly healthy, just make sure you cut them into small pieces so there is no risk of choking.
