Enteroporc Coli AC is an immunological medicinal product that stimulates active immunity in pregnant gilts and sows. This results in the passive immunisation of their piglets against certain strains of Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens type A and C. It has received a positive opinion for granting of marketing authorisation and therefore should be on the veterinary market in the near future.
E.Coli and Clostridium are both major causes of piglet sickness and even death. The use of this product can reduce unnecessary death rates and any associated negative economic outcomes.
