Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Xeno 200 Parasite Treatment, including answers from our team.
Hi, I have a 5 year old bearded dragon and would like to know if this product is safe to use on him? Thanks.
This product is very safe in Bearded Dragons but you must give the correct sort of dose. Weigh your Beardie first, then give the correct amount of drops. A large overdose could be toxic.
Where on the body should this be applied?
Anywhere on the skin where it is not likely to be removed by the animal. It is absorbed through thin skin quite quickly. Applying it to the surface of thick hair or feathers will mean it fails to work at all. On birds it is usually applied on the back between the wings, separating the feathers to apply directly onto the skin. On small animals like rats or ferrets etc, it is normally applied to the skin at the back of the neck near the base of the skull. It should be placed high up enough to be out of reach of licking if the animal turns its head to reach it. (Birds do not lick it off.)
