WoodStone nest boxes are constructed form a mix of concrete and wood fibres (FSC certified), resulting in a more consistent internal temperature than an ordinary wooden box. This is especially important during the breeding season and ensures that young birds have a greater chance of survival. The insulation properties of these nest boxes mean that can reach the correct incubation temperature earlier in the season. this increases the likelihood of an additional clutch during the season. When the time comes for the young
to leave the nest the course texture of the box will make it easier for them to exit. The WoodStone material is breathable and therefore condensation in the nest box is greatly reduced. The durability of the exterior makes them resistant to all types of weather and predators such as squirrels and larger birds. Unlike traditional wooden nest boxes there is no danger of rotting so you can expect your WoodStone box to last for 10 years and beyond.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Woodstone Nest Boxes, including answers from our team.
Does the nest box come with a fixing kit?
Thank you for your question.
The nesting boxes don't come with a fixing kit I'm afraid. The manufacturers suggest using aluminium nails to hang due to the weight of the nest box and to limit any damage caused to trees.
Hope this helps.
