The new rug is less robust than the same rug made with 1200 denier outer, one of which I have already. However the new 600g denier version is good value and perfect as a back up to the other. Fits nicely and as it weighs less than the 1200 denier version, my horse hardly notices it. Also when she stretches down to eat, the neck of the rug does not cut into her and yet still sits forward enough to keep out rain. I only buy neckless rugs as she doesn't like neck covers. Definitely waterproof so far! I would recommend.
