Description

Vivitreats are a soft and tasty treat designed to help administer tablets to your dog simply, easily and without fuss. Designed to help alleviate problems that dog owners often have administering tablets long-term, which can lead to vital tablets being missed or treatment being abandoned, Vivitreats is a soft and tasty treat that owners can use to administer any medication. The medication is disguised within the treat by inserting the tablet into its center and moulding the Vivitreat around it until completely enclosed.

So why not try Vivitreats, and turn tablets into tasty treats.

55 Easiest way to give tablets to dogs

We've used these for years now and they have worked with three different dogs so far. To the dogs, it is as if you are giving them a treat and it means you can give them vital medication without any stress to you or the dog.

We can usually manage to cut one Vivitreat into four slices to wrap around small capsules, so they are quite cost effective.

In fairness, I can't honestly answer the questions on Taste and Nutritional Value but the dogs love them.

45 Dog love these!

Both of my dogs are on medication daily and got very skilled at picking them out of their food so I gave these a try. The dogs absolutely love them so there's definitely no more trouble with getting pills down them. They are quite expensive, especially when using for 2 dogs. Sometimes though depending on the size of tablet you can break up the treats to try and make the pack last longer.

I think this is an excellent product, dogs love the taste and if you wrap a vivitreat around a tablet it goes down a treat.

Low Fat ?

Lesley Thompson

Hi,
As my Whippet has just been diagnosed with Pancreatitis and can only eat very low fat in his food, this means the cheese-pil taking method we'd perfected is now redundant.

Can you please let me have the analytical content of these ViviTreats ?

  • VioVet Staff

The stated analysis for Vivitreats is: Protein 33%, Fats 8%, Ash 8%, Fibre 0.5%, Moisture 22%. The total amount of fat present in one treat (which is almost one quarter water) is not great and Vivitreats are often used in this circumstance. They should be fine to use.
