Description

Avipro Plus is a veterinary formulated FOS prebiotic which is enhanced with electrolytes and vitamins A, C and E. The supplement can simply be added to food or water and is highly palatable meaning that it will be taken with no fuss by your animal.

It is particularly valuable when animals have undergone stress or veterinary treatment for short term illness or long term chronic conditions. The prebiotics assist the natural bacteria in the gut while assisting to maintain the correct conditions for the gut flora to re-establish itself. The vitamins help to replace those lost during stress and help to support the immune system.

Sensitive stomach

19th Sep 2016

Hi my cat suffers with a sensitive stomach. Bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea with blood in poo. He has had all the tests which came back normal. He was put on sensitive control food which didn't help and he hates, going days without eating. Would this product be suitable for him ?

  • Veterinary Surgeon

If your vets have not found any other underlying cause then this product would be worth a try. Whatever is going on there is obviously some upset in the gastrointestinal tract and the Avipro should help to restore the natural gut flora back to normal. A bland diet of something like chicken or fish with rice, if he will eat it, would also be useful.
