My dog felt very comfortable in this buster collar, he could walk around the house well, he could eat & drink out of his bowls without any trouble which was great & he couldnāt reach his wound either. The material is great I can wipe it clean if anything gets on it and I donāt have to worry about him getting hot wearing it due to the cool material! Itās great

I have to say I can't use this product because I can't blow it up. Instructions just say "inflate" but I don't have that much puff and couldn't do so with a bicycle pump either. It looks just the right thing - IF you can get it to inflate!

Perfect for my dog and so much better than the "cone of shame". Easy to fit and keep clean and very light, if he could talk my dog would thank me. Very good price. A must for any dog owner who has a dog who JUST won't licking a sore patch! Will certainly use this company for all my dogs needs. Well done VioVet!

Much more comfortable than a cone - eliminates that horrid thing where they hit the cone on things as they are passing. My dog enjoyed wearing it i think - when she lay down she could use it as a pillow! However, she is a long dog with a long nose (lurcher) so could easily reach her hind quarters and lick the wound on her thigh. Kept it because for injuries in other areas it would be fab and she's bound to get them.

Yes, if the incision site is over the abdomen itself then this collar should prevent licking of the area.

My dog is about to undergo entropion surgery. Will this collar prevent her being able to scratch her eye and damage the stitches? Thank you
This collar should be able to prevent scratching of the eye itself with paws, however it will not prevent your dog rubbing the eye on surfaces. It is advised to follow your vets advice on post op care. Most likely this will include using a cone-type collar.

We have a rescue Staffie who becomes incredibly anxious to any āchangesā to the norm. He is being treated with drops and tablets for a persistent ulcer on his eye. He doesnāt scratch the eye but does occasionally rub with his paw.Vet has suggested a collar to prevent the rubbing. Would this be a good option to a āconeā which he just will not cope with ?
This should prevent your dog scratching his eye with his paw, but it won't prevent him rubbing his eye on surfaces. A cone collar is ideal but if not possible then this collar is a good option to try.

What is length from neck to nose of the large size please? My dog is 13" round his neck and the cone I have from the vet is 8" from neck to nose but is too short to stop him reaching his back paws and tail.

The size refers to the circumference of the dog's neck - so you need to measure your dog's neck where they usually wear a collar and then choose the corresponding Air-O Collar.
