Since putting our dogs on these tablets we have not had the same problem with fleas. They donāt stop them getting them but it has made them more manageable, and as time has gone on much less often. The side effect of these tablets are that they stop the doggy smell. We have had people come into our house and not realise that we have 4 dogs.
The effects are not instant , it is with long term use that you get the full benefits. Our dogs have been on theses tablets for years. I have no intention of stopping these tablets.

Hi - I have a 6 months old Labrador puppy and am interested in a natural means of deterring/preventing fleas and ticks. This product sounds great but do I have to give it to her every day for the rest of her life?
Thank you
This product can help deter fleas but is not guaranteed to prevent against them, if you wish to prevent against fleas then only medications can do this unfortunately. You can purchase many very safe and effective licensed medications over the counter from our site that will do this.
The product will need to be given daily lifelong if you are wanting it's full effects.

My dog weighs approx 60 lbs . How many tablets per day should I give him?
60lb is roughly 27kg, according to the doseage this means you should give 2 tablets daily.
Tracey Townsend
Do the tablets have to be gien everyday of the dogs life
The doseage of this product is daily so if you are wanting to try to prevent against fleas/ticks then you will need to give the product every day. You can stop at any time though, it doesn't have to be given for life. However the effects will wear off if the dosing is stopped.

I'm a little confused. I read that garlic is poisonous to both cats and dogs but there are numerous products sold particularly as a flea deterrent containing garlic. Can you put my mind at rest that these products are safe to use on my cats
Heather Stewart
Hello.
Garlic is only toxic at a high quantity. This is completely safe and doesn't contain just pure garlic, only extracts.
Many thanks.

Are these suitable to be given to 12 week old kittens?
Yes these tablets are perfectly safe to give to kittens. Cats 1-5kg can have 1/2 a tablet per day, which you can break into smaller pieces or crushed and put into their food if needed.

Hi, I am a bit curious about how these tablets work on dogs that already caught fleas. Are these fleas being repelled?
The tablets contain garlic extract which is a natural repellent but
needs to be fed daily to have any effect. During peak flea season, it is
also recommended that double the recommended amount is given - eg if
your dog is 10kg, they will need 3 tablets daily. I cannot comment on
how efficiently they will deal with an existing problem- these are best
used as a preventative and I would recommend using them alongside a safe
chemical-based flea treatment to give the best protection.
With an existing infestation, I would recommend using a product like Frontline or Advantage to
kill the fleas quickly - they will currently be breeding very quickly
and the eggs will drop off around your home- into carpets, dog bedding,
skirting boards and later in the year the fleas will hatch and jump onto
your pet. To kill adult fleas in your home or dog kennel, a product
such as Indorex flea spray can be used and this product will also prevent the eggs from developing for up to 12 months.
There are natural spot-on products and collars like those in the Biospotix range,
which contain 100% natural repellents and may help to reduce the
problem if you prefer not to use medications in conjunction with the
VetIQ tablets. I hope this has been helpful- please get in touch if you
have any other questions.
