55 Brilliant product

By Sarah Derat on 9 January 2017

My cat has recently started to have UTI / struvite stones issues.
This paste help him recover super quickly. Unless you cat is lethargic, refuses to eat and needs urgent vet care, I would recommend use this paste or anything with a high content of cranberry alongside a pack of urinary care food. Of course, monitor your animal 24/7 and see the results.
I personally felt like my vet was offering no real advice ( ultimately cat who s developping such issues needs to lose weight and/or a change of diet ) but prescribing me antibiotics, various pills and painkillers.

Healing and prevention?

Sumayah

Does this heal the crystals and does it prevent them from reoccurring in the future?

  • Veterinary Advisor

It depends on the type of crystals you are trying to treat. If it is struvite crystals then urinary care paste should help to dissolve them and reduce the risk of urinary stones reoccuring. However this product will not be useful if it is calcium oxalate crystals that you are treating.

Renal failure

Is 'UTI Paste For Cats' suitable for cats with Chronic Renal failure?

  • Non-Executive Director

This product should do no harm in cases of chronic renal failure. It is more likely to be of benefit to cats which have adequate kidney function, but are prone to recurrent cystitis.
