Trocoxil is used to treat dogs for chronic osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease. The chewable tablets should be given with the dog's main meal of the day. A gap of 14 days is given between the first and second doses, then a dose is given just once a month. This makes the treatment of degenerative joint disease much easier for dog owners. It also provides better pain relief for many dogs, because of the more consistent anti-inflammatory effect than occurs with treatments needing daily dosing.
Side effects from Trocoxil are rare, but are the same as for other drugs in this group, known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and anorexia are the most likely adverse reactions to be seen. No more tablets should be given if this occurs and the dog needs to be checked by your vet.

My dog can move around a lot better than 12 months ago although he’s still not walking properly on his back legs he’s walking on his hocks he plays with my great granddaughter when they come eat drinks goes to the park in his pram and trouts about on the grass with a protective bandage round his back legs before trocoxil he was pulling himself along the carpets in his bottom he also has hydro which he loves he’s very happy dog even though his the bottom half of his back legs are full of arthritis

There is a manufacturing problem with this drug I understand. We do not feel it will be available for at least another 6 months. If you check our website we will update availability as and when we hear something. To post a POM-V product like this to the UK, we need a prescription written by a UK vet. If you get a prescription from Muscat, we can post it to Muscat for you (cost £10 for post and packing).

The dose of this tablet is given according to the bodyweight of the dog. Most Golden Retrievers need either 2 of the 30mg tablets or one of the 75mg tablets per dose, but your vet will decide this when providing you with the written prescription needed to buy this product.

Yes we can accept this as long as it is posted to Spain. As long as the prescription has the required information, we can use it. We cannot post to the UK on a Spanish prescription.

My dog has been on Trocoxil and works wonders and has medical history in both England and Germany. unfortunately the prices are horrendous in Germany. I (we+dog)am currently in Germany and have a German perscription and need 4 x 95mg Trocoxil. Do you accept German perscriptions or only English? If an English one is necessary, can you post to a German address.
We accept German prescriptions for medication being posted to Germany. Generally, the postal address for the medication should match the country the prescription is written in. It is fine to send us a German prescription.

There is only one sort of Trocoxil tablet and if you buy them in the UK they will be exactly the same wherever you get them from. (We are based in Luton, Bedfordshire and buy all our medication from one of the UK veterinary wholesalers). The licensing and control of medication is extremely strict in the UK (and many other countries too) and so you will always get what you expect, with the possible exception of buying from a third world country. You can come and collect direct from our warehouse if you are local. In any case, I can totally assure you that what you buy from us will be exactly the same as buying from your local vet (chances are we both buy from the same wholesaler).
