I have used this as a barrier cream for a couple of winters now and it is excellent. It stops the mud sticking and is a great preventer of mud fever. It leaves a silky sheen on the coat so only needs to be reapplied every couple of days. It brushes out easily leaving no sticky or oily residue behind so no need to wash the legs for shows etc, though be warned white socks can turn a bit pink. The only downside is it's a a small tub so it doesn't last long.
