Needed this as one cat swoops in and eats all the food.. but now the chipped cat feeder only opens for the one cat so he always has his own food that no one else can eat

I have two cats and a dog. One of my cats is very greedy and the dog will also look out for food too! My other cat is very nervous and a grazer, so we were having to put her food out and stand and wait for her to finish, whilst the other two greedy ones also watched her eat and see if any food was left.
A friend of ours in a similar situation recommended this feeder, so we decided to give it a go. We tried the training method provided for the first week, but she was so nervous and wouldn't go near it! We therefore decided to open and close for her each time she wanted to eat and gently move her into the feeder, this went on for about 3 weeks, we honestly never thought she would approach on her own, but after 4 weeks she did it. Happy Days!! My other greedy cat still waits close by, just incase the lid fails to close, she's definitely a glass half full cat!!
If you are in a similar situation or have a very nervous cat, this is really worth a try.

Already have had one for over three years for our old cat who is grazer ( not good in a multi cat household). Ordered one for another cat who gets meds in his food. It is ideal and after a very short time he cottoned on what to do and uses it no bother. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be sure of how much their cat is eating or ensuring that other cats can't steal food

My cat loves this. It works really well. I have put it in a place we’re other cats can not get through the back. This has helped my cat has slowed down in his eating, which he use to rush saw the other cats did not get his food. He as always been a nibbler of his food now he can go back to that.

Fiendishly expensive, but really useful. We have one grazer and one glutton cats at home and this has helped massively. It stops, or greatly reduces, the amount of food the glutton can get to while my grazer has actually put some weight back on because his brother isn't constantly stealing it. We tried the training mode but the glutton was still able to get to the food so after the first day and a half we basically gave up, switched it on full time and just provided the grazer with lots of reassurance at food times so he would not feel so scared of the slight noise and movement of the lid. Took a few days but he now uses it on his own no problem. We bought the back cover (which is literally just a piece of plastic) from SurePet straight away and it helps limit the amount of ways the glutton can get into the bowl. He's now trying to basically push his head into the feeder when it's closed but so far he's just managed to push the feeder around the kitchen. Hopefully he gives up soon.
