Hamsters can have cod liver oil on their food to help with their skin and fur. Would this be suitable even though it says for dogs? I noticed in the dosage section you do say ‘other small animals’. How much would you also say to give? Again your dosage states one capsule a day but elsewhere I’ve read 1-2 drops a day for a hammy.
Yes, you can give this supplement to your hamster. I would prick a capsule and squeeze out 2 drops a day on to food for an animal as small as a hamster.
I have a 16 month staffy who likes to jump for her ball like a maniac, I am worried about her joints and wonder if this is suitable for her & if so what dose. Many thanks
This product would be perfectly safe to give to your dog and may well have some beneficial effects on her joints. However this supplement is not targeted at just joints specifically. If you are looking for a good quality joint supplement for a young active dog I would try Yumove Active but if you do decide to give Super Solvitax a try it is certainly better than giving nothing at all.
Please could you tell me the amount in mg in a serving of the oil please. I need to give my dog 100mg a day.
One capsule contains 0.32ml of cod liver oil, which weighs about 200mg. However if you mean 100mg of oil, that is a very low dose. Once capsule will provide about 200mg of vitamin A and 1.67mg of vitamin D, along with varying amounts of other nutrients. This is explained more fully in the listing if you scroll down and click on "Analysis".
