I have used this product for years on my old 33 year old mare with mild arthritis. Seemed to help loosen her up and keep her comfortable, (retired for several years).

I have found this supliment to be a very good alternative to Cod liver oil: I think it has other beneficial additives and is much less messy.

26 year old horse with stiff shoulder

Tricia Bragg

Hi I feed a supplement called activet and a broad spectrum balancer from feedmark can I feed codlivine along side them to help ease stiffness in an aged horse on very light hacking...Thanks

  • VioVet Staff

This depends on the specific Activet and Feedmark balancer products you are using. I recommend checking the ingredients of Codlivine and seeing if these are shared by any of the others. If they are then you may be doubling up unnecessarily. The ingredients to Codlivine are listed below:

Grassmeal, wheatfeed, calcium carbonate, Cod liver oil, soya oil,
di-calcium phosphate, sodium chloride, magnesium oxide, evening primrose
oil, glucosamine, HCI, MSM

15kg sack

Sophie

Hi could you tell me if the 15kg sack is resealable?

  • VioVet Staff

Hello Sophie,

Thank you for your question.

No the sack is not resealable as it is heat treated to seal it when packed.

However if you cut the bag carefully along the top you should be able to roll it over and clip it closed.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
Bridget
