I noticed my rabbits playing with this. They had chewed the orange string off and when I inspected the inside of the toy I found out that it was made of plastic and covered in glue! Surely they isn't safe for rabbits one bit!?!? Absolutely appalled!

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy. I would have to say that this product is made by a reputable manufacturer and all constituents are believed to be safe for rabbits and other animals. We do not normally test individual products ourselves, we rely on manufacturers to do this. We do not have any others in stock at present but I will look at this item shortly and check if it is suitable for us to continue to supply it. I do feel pretty confident that it will be safe in fact. If there is plastic, that would not be regarded as dangerous - rabbits normally just leave it alone, though it is not actually toxic if they do chew it. There are many, plant based glues available, often made basically by boiling starch in water, so that is not likely to be toxic either. I will look into it though. Thank you for giving us your feedback, it is always helpful to know what customers think of their purchases.
