The Scruffs expedition box beds are brilliant, water resistant beds perfect fot the outdoor dog. Expedition beds are a heavy duty solution for pets who love to make a mess. Each one is made with a uniquely durable 600-denier fabric. The reverse side is also coated with a 100% water resistant backing to stop water sinking in. The same special backing is also applied to each bed's non-slip base. Very happy with the beds for the first week, both of our dogs seem to love them - then on day 8 one of the bed's wadding on the base became all lumpy, could just be that our labrador decided to scratch it - though there isn't any evidence of this. Second bed is fine still, two weeks on.

After searching round a variety of pet product sights I decided on scruffs expedition box as it is stylish and looked comfortable for my pooch ( a medium sized staffie ) it's great as she's able to rest her head on the sides as and material seems durable something that I can easily wipe clean. Overall very happy with my purchase .

Can the cushioning (inners) be zipped out to enable the cover(s) to be machine washed?
Hi Vivienne,
The Scruff Expedition bed doesn't have removable covers I'm afraid but it can be hosed down, wiped with a damp cloth, or washed int he washing machine (just remove the middle pillow first so it fits in easier).
The material is water resistant so most dirt can be wiped, hosed, or even vacuumed off.
We are currently working on a new range of VioPet dog beds which we hope to launch in November, and we hope that our new designs wil have removable cushions,just like our Lola Lounger. We only have the small Lola Lounger left in stock, but if you're looking for a bed with removable covers and have a small dog, this would be a good bed to try :)
