Directions: Shake well before use. Gently rub the base of the ear and then wipe the interior of the ear flap with a swab moistened with Sancerum.

Use once or twice weekly or before each specific otitis externa treatment.

55 Excellent product for basic ear cleaning when no infection is involved.

This is product I was originally given by my vet as a sample and asked to try. It works as a cleaner for dogs' ears, though not for serious infections or other problems, just for generally keeping the ears from being too waxy, and causing itching. It is a very good product because, unlike some other ear cleaners, it doesn't sting. No dog likes liquid put in their ears, but if it stings, they are very likely to resist you doing the second ear. I have used this for basic ear cleaning on my spaniels (cockers and springers) for at least then years now, and found it to be reliable and useful product which often only requires a couple of treatments to have a beneficial effect.

Is this what PDsa use in the uk and any photos of the item

Crazy lady

Is this the cleaner used by the pdsa in the uk and is there any pictures of it

  • Non-Executive Director

This ear cleaner is widely used by vets throughout the UK and is one of a number of cleaners which can be used by the PDSA. An internet search will show plenty of images of the product and of the method of using high volume, water-based ear cleaners like this. There is a small illustration of the product on our website.

Broken skin

carly

Is this OK on broken skin? Will it hurt or sting my dogs ears?

  • Non-Executive Director

This certainly can be uncomfortable at first when applied to a very sore or ulcerated ear. However in practice most dogs with sore ears tolerate it very well and are soon soothed by its use. If in doubt, talk to your vet or veterinary nurse and follow their advice.
