Royal Canin Gastro-Intestinal Moderate Calorie is a complete food for adult cats with acute intestinal absorption disorders. Its low calorie content makes it also suitable for cats that are prone to being or are overweight. It can be used in cases of chronic and acute diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), malabsorption, maldigestion, colitis, gastritis, bacterial overgrowth, exudative enteropathy or chronic pancreatitis. It has been specially developed to ensure that digestive health is restored and to encourage nutritional restoration and convalescence. Digestive health is supported with omega-3 long chain fatty acids. Digestive security will be maximised with carefully selected, highly digestible ingredients such as rice, beet pulp, fish oil, prebiotics and highly digestible LIP proteins. They will help to promote beneficial intestinal flora and to limit the growth of bad bacteria in the gut.The ingredients are also highly palatable to encourage cats to eat frequently and spontaneously. The moderate calorie and low fat content with increase electrolytes will ensure that your cat's weight is controlled despite this. The food also contains high energy levels which allow smaller meal sizes to not overload the stomach.
For overweight, neutered or inactive cats (prone to weight gain) or with acute and chronic diarrhoea, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), maldigestion, malabsorption, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), colitis, gastritis, pancreatitis.

My cat has not had many flare-ups of his pancreatitis since having this cat food. Very high quality. My cat loves it more than his previous non-veterinary diet food. Bit pricey, but well worth it for my cat's well-being.

Both the wet & dry version of this cat food is easily tolerated by my two cats, one of which has very sensitive digestion.

We try to give our cat who has dietary needs, and can't have treats variety by giving her wet food in addition to her dry food.
Customer recommends this product
A great easy to use product that can be left out all day as it's dry. Most cats that I've had like 'little and often'.

I think this is the fod the vet has recommended for our cat who is recovering from pancreatitis is this ok?
This diet should be acceptable to give to a cat recovering from pancreatitis. A stable diet without too much variation is probably helpful too.
