ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition
Since 1968, Royal Canin has been following the belief that nutrition plays a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs. This is why we have designed ROYAL CANIN® veterinary diets around proven nutritional science in partnership with veterinarians, delivering health nutrition for pets with specific health needs.
ROYAL CANIN® Calm is a complete and balanced diet, specially formulated to help support cats during periods of adaptation.
Calming support
ROYAL CANIN® Calm contains hydrolysed milk protein and L-tryptophan to help cats prone to behaviour changes in unusual environments and situations.
Hairball complex
Thanks to a specific blend of fibres – including psyllium – this formula also helps to control the formation of hairballs by helping to eliminate ingested hair through your cat’s stools.
Skin barrier
In order to support optimal skin health, ROYAL CANIN® Calm is formulated to support the skin’s natural protective barrier role.
Urinary health
This diet promotes a urinary environment unfavourable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
Important to note
Please consult with your veterinarian to determine the best diet for your pet. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7–10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.
For adult cats, Calm is a complete and balanced diet, specially formulated to help support cats during periods of adaptation.

Cats love this

Cats enjoy this and it seems to help with over grooming

I can’t really tell if this has made a difference, because so far it has been mixed with food the cat is used to. He is calmer than he was, but has been taking another product as well, and had a steroid injection from the vet. But I like to give him Royal Canin food, because most cats enjoy it, and it is good quality.

My rescue cat is very anxious and these biscuits were recommended and they definitely help.

Our vet originally suggested our cat try this food as she was attacking & biting her tail as though it was not part of herself, she would twitch it violently and treated it as though it was attacking her. I think the food must make her skin less oversensitive. She stopped attacking het tail once eating this. Recently she was off the Calm food for a week due to a delayed delivery and the twitching and self-harming started back up within days. She loves this food, none goes to waste. She is much friendlier and happier on this food.

Hi
My cat is currently on prozac due to spraying issues (tried all sorts of other solutions first, but nothing worked). Is it ok to feed him this diet whilst on this medication?
This diet should not interact adversely with Prozac or any other similar type of medication.
