Royal Canin Pediatric Growth is a nourishing diet which contains rice as its source of starch improving the digestibility of each kibble and Essential Fatty Acids that maintain a healthy intestinal mucosa. Kittens adult teeth begin to appear at this time. If the new adult teeth are protected during this period, the early onset of tooth and mouth disorders can be prevented. The texture and shape of each kibble promotes a brushing action which limits the formation of dental plaque. The size of each biscuit is perfectly suited for all cats, whatever their age.

My baby boy really likes this ❤️ unfortunately he didn't have the best of starts so required this after a lengthy stay in hospital for not eating when I first got him as he wasn't properly weaned. This food is necessary to make sure he gets everything he requires to help him grow and stay healthy and he really enjoys it too so to me that far outweighs the cost so please if like me you have attained an underage kitten then this food is a must it has everything they will be missing from their mum and its very palatable 🙂

If you want your kitten to eat fry food only, then Royal Canin Weaning followed by Royal Canin Pediatric Growth is the best start you can give them. The kibbles are small enough that even the tiniest kittens can manage them easily.

What's the difference

What's the difference between Royal Canin Vet and The Royal Canin you get at the Petshop ?.....I currently have my kittens on Paediatric growth but looking to send the kittens home with a pack of food can only find Petshop version in a small bag and wondered if there was a difference or not also want to make it easier on the new owners

  • VioVet Staff

There is not much difference between the products, you can use which you want. (The therapeutic diets for particular medical conditions are very different and should only be used under veterinary advice. The other diets are produced more as a marketing tool than anything else and it is not too important which you use.)
