Description

Royal Canin Fibre Response is a complete food for adult cats with acute or chronic constipation. It has been specifically developed as a short-term food (usually used for around 3-4 weeks) for treating cases of constipation. Fibre Response will encourage softer but not diarrhoeic stools to ease constipation. The food will encourage digestive security with a blend of carefully selected and easily digestible ingredients. These include rice, fish oil, chicory pulp and prebiotics (FOS & mannan-oligo-saccharides) and highly digestible proteins (L.I.P.). Omega 3 long chain fatty acids will support overall digestive health. Easy intestinal transit and is promoted with soluble fibres and psyllium. This will help to ease discomfort and produce soft stools. The food also contain a synergistic antioxidant complex which will support your cat's immune system, DNA and will help to neutralise free radicals.

Royal Canin veterinary dients should only be given in conjunction with your vets recommendation!

This is a regular order. It's always easy to re-order on the VioVet website and the product invariably arrives before the expected date. I see I have to rate the product's tastiness - well, it's cat food so I have no personal experience of it.

Great product, was recommended by a vet friend of mine and has worked a treat. Would definitely recommend. My cat Wilson was struggling with passing stools and within a couple of days of starting this food he is regular again. He really enjoys the food and actively seeks me out of the bowl is running low.

We brought this on recommendation from our vet as our cat was diagnose with idiopathic mega colon. The vet was not positive about about his future. He’s been on this 3 weeks now and Its made a huge difference to him. It’s a condition we have to manage and this is essential now to his well being

I was getting really concerned for my cat as she was struggling to go and only managing little hard bullets! She was obviously distressed and crying before needing the potty. After reading the reviews I thought I would give these a go, even though they are pricey they are going to be 100's less than the vet!! Anyway, by day 2 my beautiful baby had done a huge one!! I have never been so excited about poo in my life! Haha! I've seen her drink lots, which is rare, so that's another bonus! Her eyes are brighter and she seems much more chirpy! I highly recommend these miracle biscuits if you have a cat like mine who won't touch any pastes potions or pills!!

Gastrointestinal vs Gastrointestinal Fibre Response

Gaelle

What is the difference between Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dry food for cats and Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Fiber response ?
My cat weirdly loves the first one but not the second.
She gets that kind of dry food because she is always very constipated.

  • VioVet Staff

Royal Canin GI Fibre Response is more aimed at cats who's stools need softening and only really for use in the short term (3 to 4 weeks). This helps ease constipation. The normal Royal Canin GI food is aimed at general intestinal health, promotoing normal function of the intestinal system.
These are both prescription diets so it is recommended you discuss any changes with your vet.
