The bed looks like a piece of carpet! It is soft and my dog is happy to lie on it, but I was expecting something with more depth. A disappointing purchase.

I chose the 91x61 vet bed to go beside the AGA in our kitchen, where our two labrador/retriever dogs settle. They love it! It vacuums up well to remove the dog hair, it is warm and insulating for them and rather cosy to stand on when I can eventually reach the oven! The grey is a good colour (with one yellow and one black dog). I have not washed it yet but it seems to be made of strong stuff and is flexible and small enough to fit into a conventional front-loading washing machine. I would highly recommend this.

After reading about Vetbed the copy implied it was good if your animal had an accident. Did order this but am now surprised to realise there is no mention of being able to wash this in a machine? The animal will be in the car for a long journey for a young animal so this seemed perfect for the purpose. Is this 'Vetbed' bedding washable?
The VetBed products are 90°C machine washable for occasional disinfection. Do not tumble dry them. They can be washed at 40°C for normal use. Use non-biological detergents.

Is the backing plastic/latex? If so, would it be possible to cut these down to size - to fit a basket or bed?
