Socrates loves these, he is terrible at taking tablets, if I put tablets in is food he leave them, if I crush tablets and put them in his food he doesn't eat, so him liking them is absolutely great!

Q & A

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Pet-Tabs Vitamins, including answers from our team.

Can these be taken alongside other tablets?

Maria

Can these vitamins be taken along with Turmeric capsules & Cod liver oil capsules?
Thanks

  • VioVet Staff

It is very likely the tablets you mention will be safe for use alongside each other. It is unfortunately impossible to say for certain though without the exact vitamin content of the Turmeric and Cod Liver Oil capsules as well as the rest of the diet. Overdosing on a vitamin is very difficult though and supplements like this are very safe.

16 year old dog with liver issues now eating soil from pot plants

Nicki Davies

My old boy is on Royal Canin hepatic wet food and has started to eat soil from pot plants , which I understand could be due to lacking vit and minerals, will your Pet Tabs vitamin and mineral tabs help. Please.

  • VioVet Staff

Eating soil could be a sign of your dog lacking certain nutrients. It can also be a sign of another issue; such as cognitive dysfunction, nausia or just a behavioural trigger. It is worth discussing this with your vet. A vitamin supplement is worth trying but may not be the solution to the problem.
