Description

Pancreatic Enzyme Powder contains the 3 enzymes your pet needs for digestion. Amylase, lipase and protease.

With protease (1,750), amylase (24,700) and lipase (27,300) EP units/g

Sometimes, dogs & cats don’t produce enough digestive enzymes to properly digest their food. This can prevent food from being absorbed effectively. Chemeyes Pancreatic Enzyme Powder will help to break down the food into small enough particles. This means it can be absorbed in the intestine, giving your best friend the nutrition that they need.

How to use.

Pancreatic Enzyme Powder is really easy to use. As a guide, just add 0.5 – 1 gram of Enzyme Powder per 100g of food. The amount of food that you feed your pet should be based on their ideal weight, and not the weight that they are currently at.

Start with the lowest recommended amount of Pancreatic Enzyme Powder and see how it works. It is quite easy to tell when the dose is right from checking your pet’s stools. If you see that they are starting to get firm you are heading in the right direction. From here, increase slowly until everything is looking really healthy. You should also notice a change in their personality with them not being so ravenous and eating so quickly. More importantly, you should notice that they are steadily gaining weight. Think of it this way: sometimes you have to try rubber balls, sticks and rope toys before figuring out that they like frisbees!

When to use

The Pancreatic Enzyme Powder needs to be added to every meal that your pet eats. We find that when they are regularly using Pancreatic Enzyme Powder they are able to manage eating treats and snacks without causing them any problems.

There is no need to soak the Pancreatic Enzyme Powder before use, it can simply be sprinkled directly on to the food. If you are using kibble or dry food there is potential for some of the powder to be left behind in the bowl. A small amount of water to mix it in can be helpful to ensure it all gets eaten.

This product works well with my dog
She never has any issues or side effects from this product.
Without it she would probably be very ill due to the weight she would lose.
I usually buy the extra strength enzyme powder but this is working just as well and is slightly cheaper.

As PANZYM wasn't in stock I was recommended this. It smells terrible and my dog wouldn't eat her food. Very expensive mistake. Had to pay almost double for another tub from my vet

Q & A

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Pancreatic Enzyme Powder for Cats & Dogs, including answers from our team.

Is this similar to lypex

Sue

Hi , is this similar to lypex ,I’m struggling to get lypex and can see this has very similar amounts of the 3 enzymes in lypex . My dog has chronic pancreatitus so needs help with her little tummy .

  • VioVet Staff

Lypex is a VetPlus supplement and unfortunately due to their company policy we cannot contact them regarding their supplements to confirm this for you. I can confirm that both products are for supplementing pancreatic enzymes in patients who are deficient. I recommend checking the ingredients, if they are the same then it is likely safe for use as an alternative. It is best to contact your vet to be certain though.

Can you tell me exactly what the ingredients are and from what animal please? I also need to know if it contains rosemary in any form. Thank you.

  • VioVet Staff

The product contains pancreatin (porcine) and lactose. There are no other ingredients and so there is no rosemary in this product.
