A complete wet dog food diet to support renal function in case of chronic renal insufficiency in adult and senior dogs. Formulated with restricted levels of high-quality proteins and phosphorus that help slow the progression of chronic kidney disease and help minimise loss of muscle and toxins formation.
It is not suitable for dogs needing high levels of protein or phosphorus or for growing or reproducing dogs.
This is a veterinary diet that should always be fed under veterinary supervision.
Please note that all indications for Purina Veterinary Diets mentioned on this website are for the dietary support of the dog (or cat) with the listed condition and do not preclude appropriate medical management. The veterinary diets should be used under veterinary supervision.

Renal diet for our elderly lab. Takes his regular paracetamol hidden in a lump of this wet food, as well as adding it to his dry food to make it more palatable.

I add it to her kidney diet kibble and she loves it. A lot of kidney diets are not so tasty.

my female Greyhound ANNA has all the above and i am trying to find another renal product as she refuses to eat the one she has got she will eat things like tuna in sunflower oil anytime .any advice would be handy Yours Ted
There are a few renal diets you can choose from. Wherever possible you should stick with the diet recommended by your vet but if your dog is refusing this then it is better to try another brand of renal diet rather than go onto normal dog food. Below are links to brands you can try:
Royal Canin Renal, Purina RF and Hills K/D.
If you would like more information on managing kidney disease then I advise reading our blog, 'Managing your pet's kidneys'.

I need a suitable wet and dry food for a fourteen year old dog in kidney failure.
Purina RF Renal Function is a good wet food for supporting your pet's kidneys. There are other brands that are suitable too such as Royal Canin Renal and Hills K/D. I recommend ideally running any diet choices part your vet first though to ensure they advise a prescription kdiney diet.
