Natural Science Digestive Support from Oxbow is a high-fiber supplement containing various herbal ingredients which support the digestive health of your pet. Chicory Root supports the growth of beneficial bacteria in the GI tract while Ginger Root supports gastric motility. Slippery Elm supports overall digestive function.

**Iguanas: Natural Science Digestive Support hay tabs are to be offered per day if you feed daily, or per feeding if you do not feed every day. Before offering the hay tab at the designated amount per body weight, it is first recommended to soak the hay tab in water for 10-15 minutes. Drain water and mash up the hay tab into smaller amounts with a spoon. Either top dress the daily diet or offer separately.
For all other species, consult Oxbow or your veterinarian. When adding supplements to your pet's diet, always consult your veterinarian.
Expiration: 18 months unopened (by Best By date on bottle). Once opened, use within 60 days.

Is it a concern that the rabbit may become reliant on the active ingredients in this product for their digestive system to work properly?
The aim of digestive supportive supplements like this are to support the normal function of the intestinal system. The average healthy rabbit should not need this supplement. Unhealthy or upset intestinal systems benefit from the supportive ingredients within so that they can function normally without digestive support.
In answer to your question, it is not a concern that rabbits will become reliant on this supplement as the aim of the product is to normalise the intestinal system so that it needn't even be used.
If your pet needs a digestive support product for normal function and digestive issues recur after the product is stopped then this is a sign of an underlying problem with the intestinal system. Ideally a vet should diagnose the issue to work out what this is. In some cases lifelong digestive support supplements help manage the cause of these and control the signs.
