Can I give to my kittens this product?

Richard Spratley
  • Web Developer

All Orijen Cat products are for all life stages, once a kitten is fully weaned there is no reason not to feed Regional Red unless they require a specific diet as prescribed by a vet.

Is this food ok for cats with kidney problems?

  • VioVet Customer Since: November 2014

My 17 year old cat was diagnosed with first stage kidney failure in November. I've struggled finding any renal food he'll eat and I've tried all of them now. Hills kd wet is ok. Is this new food ok for his condition? It doesn't say it is in it's description but is listed in your renal foods.

John Cousins
  • Veterinary Surgeon

Most authorities consider that a lower protein diet is best for renal insufficiency in cats. This diet is relatively high in protein and so I would not recommend it for your cat. Hills k/d would be much better.
