Expensive but well worth it when you consider the quality and how our 12 year old Lab is keeping fir and walking three times a day. Good food makes all the difference.

I have a 8 year old boxer dog with lots of food allergies and this food helps in keeping them under control. He loves it, his fur looks shinning and he doesn't scratch as much!!! Highly recommend it!

45 one of the better premium brands

My dog will eat anything. However, I prefer this food. I believe this food is better in terms of dog having less gas and regular bowel movements. While my dog is a senior, I tend to rotate between Orijen's different versions to provide some variety. Viovet provided for painless prompt delivery.

Q & A

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Orijen Senior Whole Prey Dog Food, including answers from our team.

What age should they transfer to senior orijen?

Anna Wallace

  • VioVet customer since 2014
  • From: Bedfordshire, United Kingdom

I have a large labradoodle we rescued this year, he will be seven in February. When should I transition him onto the senior varieity?

  • VioVet Staff

Hi Anna,

If your dog is 7, you probably want to transition him now, although it is perfectly fine to keep him on the food he is currently on if it agrees with him. Switching to a senior food because he is a senior dog isn't always necessary. If you do want to do it though, now is the time. Just make sure you transition him very gradually to reduce the chances of digestive trouble.

I hope this helps.
