As senior dogs have far slower metabolisms than junior and adult dogs it is important that they consume lower levels of fat and protein to reduce the likelihood of weight gain. Feeding guidelines

The following guidelines show the recommended feeding amount in grams per day. Ensure a supply of fresh drinking water is available at all times.

  • Small Dog = 100 - 350g
  • Medium Dog = 350 - 600g
  • Large Dog = 600 - 1200g
  • Extra Large Dog = 1200 - 1700g

What age should a dog be to be classed as senior?
