I used this to kill flies (and maggots) in a trap before disposing of it. The trap was a red top fly trap which catches hundreds (maybe thousands?) of flies - you have to dispose of it carefully (it stinks!) and I wanted to make sure everything was dead before doing so. Couple of squirts and wait 2 minutes and nothing was alive. This product definitely works!

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding NETTEX Fly And Maggot Killer, including answers from our team.
My horse keeps getting fly strike in his sheath, could I use this to spray inside his sheath to try to prevent it keep happening?
This product is not intended for use directly on animals. If you are looking for a fly repellant safe for use on his sheath then I would advise NETTEX Summer Fly Cream.
Hi my shire x cob has greecy heal/mudfever this is very hard to look after and expensive. The amount of products n vet fees are just so high I cant control or find anything that works? He itches his legs so much they bleed then flys land on lay eggs then maggots are now appearing can the spay be used with open wounds as this is every leg from the cornet band to below the knee and also has bald patches with yellow crusty scurf that oozes.
I would actually recommend DermaPet LimePlus Dip for Horses for this condition. There can be a mixture of causes for the problem you describe and they are not easy to treat. However I do not think that flies and maggots are likely to be the cause. Try this dip and see how you get on.
