I was using this as a small tub purchase which was not cost effective. I think you need to stick with feeding this to see results so this bigger tub was a better buy. Again I have read mixed reviews about this but I am going to stick with it. By the time I have finished this I will have a better idea about whether to continue.

My lad has been on this for about 3 weeks and I can see improvement in his movement and will continue using this alongside magnetic bands which together are aiding his soundness and flexibiity.

I bought this for Maisie as she has cushings and laminitis. She has also developed arthritis so I'm hoping it will help her joints.

This product appears to be having a positive effect on my elderly pony. It is early days yet, so I am keeping an open mind.

Hello,
I want to buy "Glucosamine 10000 Plus with MSM" and I propose that it is a powder?
Can you advice me which is the best way to give to my horse?
May be dissolved in water or may be to put into his food? Cos food is composed of barley, oats, wheat bran, sunflower meal and all of them are rough and large than a power?
This product is a powder that should be added to the concentrate feed. It should mix fine with the food you describe. If you are having difficulty then a small amount of water added to the feed can help solidify the powder for ingestion. You can even add a small amount of molasses to mix with the powder if safe to do so.

What is this supplement for abs what are its main benefits:)
NAF have created Glucosamine Plus with MSM to provide support for horse
joints and muscle. It provides glucosamine sulphate at the recognised
levels of 10,000mg at loading and 5,000mg and maintenance rate, together
with added support from MSM. Both of these ingredients have been shown to help with normal joint function and repair. Often it is recommended for horses with joint issues, such as arthritis.

Can this product be given to arthritic goats? Nothing seems to be licensed for goats .
There are very few Goat specific products on the market unfortunately, especially Goat joint supplements. Glucosamine and MSM are both anecdotally used in Goats and theoretically will work similar to other species, helping support normal joint function and repair. However there are no specific studies proving the products are safe for use in Goats and the NAF version is licensed for horses only. I recommend discussing doseages and specifics with your vet. The NAF version is likely to be safe but will require a smaller doseage than the recommended horse rates.

Can naf glucosamine been give to a pregnant mare as a maintenance supplement?
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your query.
This product is perfectly suitable for both pregnant and lactating mares when added into the feed. The supplement can be fed right up until foaling and beyond.
I hope this helps.

How long does it take to have the loading levels up to just need maintenance? My horses have winter without supplement and will have to load at the start of the season.
The manufacturers have not suggested how long horses should stay on the loading dose but I would recommend 14-28 days before reducing to a maintenance dose.

I own an eleven year old Ardennes x Arab gelding. When he was five, he was diagnosed with OCD (osteochondrosis dissicans) which resulted in having surgery to both stifles and rear fetlocks. Following this he has made very good progress and has been taking synoquin and MSM even since. I also give him boswellia serrata as a herbal pain killer. My question is would it be better for him to have NAF glucosamine plus as well or instead of his daily supplements. I am not sure that the NAF product would give him sufficient MSM.
Thank you
Your question is good but the answer is not clear! There are no scientific evaluations of the results of giving different types, amounts and combinations of supplements and there really is no good way of knowing the answer to your question. Most people consider these supplements to be helpful when they try them, but there is probably also quite a lot of variability between individual horses and the precise nature of the conditions they may suffer from. On balance it is probably sensible to give a combination of the various active ingredients in the usually recommended daily amounts as supplied by the manufacturers. It is also best often to use products from well-known companies who have good quality control procedures. Other than that, it is mostly just a matter of personal judgment.

How long does this one last
This depends on whether you are giving a loading dose 30g which is two scoops or a maintenance dose of 15g which is one scoop daily. Then this 900g tub will last a horse or pony 30-60 days.
