What is it made of? You say it's useable in the field, which part of it is waterproof (or rain repellant); would this not make it rather too heating in the stable?

Thank you for your message.
This rug can be used to shade your horse from the hot summer sun in the field. The rug is made from natural cotton and is not designed to be waterproof, however it is lightweight and breathable when in the stable and also when in the field in dry weather.
