The Loose Ring Snaffle is defined by the loose rings which sit freely either side of the mouthpiece. It can apply pressure to the bars, tongue and roof of the horse's mouth, but also has a risk of pinching the lips. The application of Bit Guards can solve this problem. This bit is commonly used for breaking and training horses.
