Description

The Korsteel JP Flexi Bits are made from hi-tech plastic which has been moulded around a core of stainless steel, so the durability of the bit is not compromised. The flexi mouthpiece is 'warmer' than a traditional stainless steel mouthpiece, which encourages acceptance of the bit. For this reason, the flexi mouthpiece is a good choice for younger horses and those with a sensitive mouth.

The Korsteel JP Flexi Jointed Dutch Gag Three Ring bit's main action is on the horse's poll, the roof of the mouth and on the bars of the mouth. The amount of poll pressure can be increased by attaching the rein to the middle and bottom rings, therefore making the bit stronger and more severe. The Three Ring Dutch Gag can be used with one rein, two reins or with roundings. The Three Ring Dutch Gag is stronger than the Two Ring Dutch Gag, as there is more leverage which creates more poll pressure.

This bit is not dressage legal, and the plastic should be checked before every use for sharp edges where the horse may have chewed the mouthpiece.
