I have only been using this powder for a week, so it's too early to say how effective it is, but it is easy to apply and sticks well to damp leg hair.

I have used this powder for 20 plus years as I live in a heavy clay soil area where mud is a real problem during the winter. I can honestly say that since using it on recommendation of my farrier, I have kept mud fever away.

I bought this as I hate using sticky barrier creams on the legs. However this powder just puffs into the air and falls on the floor, it’s really hard to get it on their legs. When you put it in your hand and rub it in it stays a bit better but not great. A few hours later if he’s in the stable it’s all fallen off.

We are suffering from a very wet and muddy paddock. I have been applying this product before turn out and before riding out and can not really see any benefits, sorry.

My horse has mud rash. Can powder be used at this stage or should it be used to protect when mud rash has cleared up ? Thanks
Hi Karen,
Thank you for your question.
You can use this during the healing process as it will help, and then continue to use it all year round as a preventative.
Hope that helps.
