For dogs that love life, joint degeneration can have a huge impact on their physical and mental well-being. While not all joint problems are preventable, involving joint aid supplements is a sensible investment for the future, as these contain the key ingredients needed for joint tissue repair and renewal. In fact, many people now include joint supplements as a staple part of their dog’s diet, whether or not there is an existing problem.
Extending VioVet’s service of care to pets everywhere, we have developed ‘Joint Force®,’ our own branded joint care supplement. ‘Joint Force’ offers high quality daily nutrition that is cost-effective and for those who are unable to be in for parcels, the pack of 120 is uniquely packaged to fit through your letterbox.
If your dog is over 7 years old or showing signs of stiffness, use twice the daily amount for 4-6 weeks and then reduce to the above quantities. If your dog requires more than one tablet, we recommend giving half of them in the morning, and the other half in the evening.
Consult your vet before feeding to a pregnant or lactating bitch.

Joints are specialised structures which allow a range of movements and endure a lot of stress from everyday use. When joints become damaged over time, the loss of mobility and pain can greatly reduce a dog's quality of life and activity levels.
Supplementation is a popular method of maintaining joint health, intended to extend a dog's period of mobility and comfort. It is believed that as many as 1 in 5 dogs could benefit from a dietary supplement, so we have developed Joint Force with both your dog's needs and your pocket in mind.
Joint Force has been formulated to provide a cost effective and unique combination of 9 high quality nutrients, believed to be beneficial in the following areas when fed daily.
Glucosamine HCl is an important building block and major constituent of all joint components, cartilage in particular.
High quality Chondroitin is found naturally in the Green Lipped Mussel and is key to maintaining cartilage elasticity and promoting the formation of new joint structures.
Manganese is known to activate many enzymes involved in tissue repair and maintenance. For instance, collagen has great tensile strength and is essential for strong connective tissues, including ligaments which hold the bones in the joint together.
Chondroitin provides cartilage with its vital shock-absorbing quality to protect the joints from impacts. Its number of functions help to slow the deterioration of cartilage.
MSM is a rich source of sulphur, with many roles beneficial to joint health. It is believed to work in combination with Glucosamine to inhibit joint degeneration and support recovering tissues.
Hyaluronic Acid is a vital component of synovial fluid, the lubricant between joint surfaces. HA gives the fluid its cushioning properties and allows friction-free movement.
Antioxidants Vitamins C and E work together to minimise the harmful effects of free radicals generated during exercise.
Turmeric has been used by many cultures for hundreds of years and is thought to boast both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help with joint health.
Green Lipped Mussel is a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids, widely used as supplements for their anti-inflammatory properties. Omega-3 fatty acids also act by inhibiting the conversion of Omega-6 fatty acids into harmful agents that drive inflammatory reactions.
Boswellia serrata is traditionally used in herbal remedies for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Each of the above areas contributes towards an overall level of activity a dog can achieve. The longer joint structure and integrity is maintained, the longer our dogs will be able to remain supple and comfortable.
Each dog will respond as an individual to any supplementation but Joint Force ingredients have been carefully selected, based on both scientific reasoning and traditional use, to give them the best chance of feeling the benefits.
Joint Force® 120 tablets are specially packed into a slim, flat container, rather than a round tub, so that your order can fit through any standard letterbox, saving you a trip to the post office or trying to remember which neighbour might be in to take it for you! With Joint Force, you know your dog's tablets will be waiting safely inside for you when you return home.

first time I've bought these, thought it was one a day but when they arrived the dose was two a day so a bit disappointed with that. He loves them so there's no problem giving them to him, bit early to say if they have helped greatly as he's not been on them long enough.

I changed to Joint Force after I found that Youmove tablets were increasing in price. I have found Joint Force as successful at relieving my Labrador's joint problems at less cost.

I will give them a good time to get them working in her system. My Vet said she thinks it is a good idea to give them to her

I started using this for my Mastiff cross breed dog because he is at risk of joint problems. Before using it he had a slight limp on one of his front legs. After the first month this was less noticeable & now after 2 months of giving it the limp has disappeared completely. My only problem is getting him to take them. I have to crush & dissolve them before mixing in his food because he spits them out if given whole. Compared to the other leading product, these tablets are better value for money & contain more ingredients, so why pay more for less?

My usually greedy dog who eats anything spat these out so I had to crush them up and hide them in his food, however they do crush quite easily so not a great problem but I think I may go back to his usual fish tasting ones in the future.

Is the liver flavouring used in this product natural or synthetic
Hello,
The liver flavour is natural - it is made from chicken liver. :-)

I have a 35kg 10 year old Dalmatian cross that has inherited the dalmatian problem of urate stones. She has been fed on Royal Canine Low Purine U/D for many years and has had no recurring stone problems for 7 years. I notice that this contains green lipped mussels which can be high in purines. Would this product be OK for her? Do you know how many purines are in it and would it be low enough for her to have? Many thanks
Seafood like Green Lipped Mussel can have a high purine content, however this has not specifically been tested so the exact purine content in supplements like Joint Force is unknown. The dose you would be giving will be a very small percentage of your dog's overall food intake though so even if high in purine then adding Joint Force is unlikely to make a difference. However I would run this past your vet or a Royal Canin nutritionist first to be on the safe side.

My dog is having a period of arthritis flare up? As per the feeding instructions it says he can have a double dose for up to 6 weeks?
Is this correct ? Sheās 20kg so currently on 2 tablets per day.
Thanks
Yes you can feed double the maintenance amount for 6 weeks, it is recommend to do this when starting the product. If you are wanting extra support then you can contiinue this higher dose safely, such as during a flare up.

My 9 year old Labrador is recovering from aspirational pneumonia and is on 2 kinds of anti bionics. He is also on Previcox permanently for joint problems. Can I give him Joint Force with these other medications?
Thanks
Jill Brooks
Yes Joint Force is safe to use alongside Previcox and Antibiotic medication. If your dog has aspiration pneumonia then I advise discussing with your vet how to feed and give supplements like Joint Force safely. There must be a reason why your dog inhaled food into his lungs and it's important to avoid this happening again.

My dog is taking Previcox and Vitoffyllin as prescribed by our Vet. Is there any reason why he should not take Joint Force instead of Yumove as he does now.
Joint Force is also a comprehensive joint supplement to YuMove and contains very similar ingredients. In fact Joint Force also contains MSM and Boswellia which YuMove Original doesn't. These are additional useful ingredients which help support the joint.
There is no medical reason why you should not use Joint Force instead of YuMove, it is safe to use alongside Vitofyllin and Previcox.

Hi. Are these suitable for an active 5 month old cocker spaniel to promote healthy joint growth.
Yes these tablets can be used in dogs once they start eating solid food. They are therefore safe for use in your 5 month old cocker spaniel and will help prevent future joint disease.
Charlotte's Mum
My 6 year old Cavalier has recently developed significant pain in one shoulder and the vet thinks she may have underlying arthritis. Charlotte often gets gastro-intestinal problems, sometimes with inflammation and bleeding. She also has continuous problems with blocked anal glands. I am worried about giving supplements that may make these problems worse.
This depends on the cause of the gastro-intestinal problems. Joint Force is a very safe supplement and none of the ingredients have these kind of issues as a listed side effect. It is ideal for a dog potentially suffering from arthritis. However if your dog's problems are related to a food intolerance/allergy or a disorder like Inflammatory Bowel Disease then I cannot guarantee she won't react to the flavouring within Joint Force.
You may be best to try Synoquin EFA capsules, these are unflavoured and so less likely to set off an intolerance/allergy related gastro-intestinal problem.

Are Joint Force tablets palatable and chewable?
Yes these tablets are liver flavoured. They are not chewable, this version is more 'crunchy'. If you are looking for chews then I would try Joint Force Soft Chews for Dogs which are bacon flavoured.
