I originally had a flying saucer where the plastic pins that held it onto the stand broke one by one, and then, of course, became dangerous and noisy. This wheel is very quiet and much safer. It's also very pretty!
12 inch/30 cm is fantastic for my Syrian hamster and would be perfect for a rat too!
Ziggy was wary at first as he had only had flying saucers but it very comfortable with it now.

It's a very good wheel, but a bit heavy. I bought the biggest one for my Syrian Hamster and it's just too heavy for him. He could not move it... But he is just about 2 month old, hopefully he will be able to play with it later in his life.

They seem great after use the yellow bit inside gets abit loose and makes some noise if so tighten it up and it should be quite as new
