I have used this for years and I can highly recommend. I use it every time I clean the tank, as it restores the healthy bacteria levels after I've cleaned one of the filter pads. It is also very beneficial when I completely change a filter pad. If you are setting up a new tank, Filter Start is brilliant for helping kickstart the filter bacteria.
