Hydrophane Cribox is the easy and certain way of deterring horses from crib-biting and gnawing wooden rails and rugs.
The Hydrophane Cribox paint comes with a complementary brush. The paint is a dark brown colour which suits most wooden panels.
Cribox is also available in a clear, colourless liquid for application to wooden doors, rugs and bandages etc to deter chewing and gnawing.

I haven't used this before so I didn't know what to expect but I didn't expect it to be a solid waxy substance. I found it amusing that they created something that I had to use my fingers for over a nice splintered stable that my horses had chewed. Next time I will be better prepared with some nice thick gardening gloves, or the like. That said. I have used one application and haven't heard anyone eating their bedroom. Yet! It was worth it! :)

Works very well but very small amount in pot...only enough to do about 7 rails.Disappointed as worked out very expensive .

Works well as a deterrent to crib biting.
Downside is that the solid one is too solid to use with a brush & the one that comes with the brush you struggle to get the last out of the bottom of the bottle.
