Measuring Your Dog

The back length:

Should be measured from the withers (not the collar) to the base of the tail, while the dog is standing in a normal position. When measuring the back length, be very careful as depending on the dogs position, the dimensions may vary by inches. The back length of the overalls may be at least 1"-2" smaller in small sizes and 4"-8" smaller in large sizes.

The neckline measurement:

Should be taken at the base of the dogs neck, this being the widest part of the neck. The neckline of the Overalls can be larger than the circumference of the dog's neck, as it can be adjusted to fit a smaller neck.

The chest measurement:

Should be taken at the widest point of the chest, from behind the front legs. To ensure sufficient room for movement, the chest measurement of the overalls should be at least 2" larger in small sizes and at least 4"-8" larger in large sizes. Breeds with long and thick fur need more room for the chest than dogs with short fur.

The front leg length:

Should be measured from the bottom of the rib cage along the inside of the leg to the wrist bone. The front leg length of the Overall should be shorter than the inside length of the dogs leg. So that the dog can safely run and play while wearing the overalls, the front legs should at most reach the dogs wrist.
