Good value and good quality And a wonderful idea for the hot summer time.returned as ordered too small

We purchased this vest because it cools the chest area. However, it's quite thickly padded and it is therefore difficult to wring the water out fully. Consequently, it drips quite a lot so is not great for indoors - although it would be fine for outdoors. Also, because it has a zip, it means it is not adjustable. You have to make sure the measurements of the dog fit with the measurements of the cooling vest which is not ideal as all dogs differ in size especially around the chest area. It is well made though, and Hurtta are very good quality.

My 6 year old springer has always suffered during the summer heat. On walks she pants excessively, gets terribly thirsty (can easily drink a litre of water straight out of the bottle) and has collapsed a few times (had several visits to the vets to check nothing serious is wrong). Even going out very early in the morning or late in the evening as proved too much for her. This vest has made such a difference. I just run it under the cold tap, wring it out, zip her into it and off we go. She still pants but nowhere near as much as before and no longer drinks the entire contents of her water bowl when we return. I also pop it on her when she's spending time in the garden. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase and, more importantly, so's my dog!

Very good idea and very useful during recent heat wave, a larger zip would make it easier to do up on a wriggling dog!

Keeps her nice and cool. Being a husky with two coats I thought they wouldn’t work, but they do

Laura
Do you think an xl will fit a British bulldog?
Hi Laura,
The best thing to do is to use a tape measure and check your dog's neck and chest measurements, as even within breeds they can vary a fair amount with age, sex, weight etc.
Once you've measured around their neck and chest, you can check the dimensions chart which in below the product listing here, and choose the size you think will fit best. With deep chested breeds, the chest measurement will be more important, so for example, even if their neck would fit a size L and the chest measurement is larger, go for the size that fits the chest.
I hope this helps!
