55 Great product

I have been using Hills science plan for nearly 18 years to feed my cat and been right through the ranges offered as she grew older. She has never had any stomach issues, her teeth have never had to be cleaned and she has always had a healthy coat and got a clean bill of health from the vets when having her yearly check up and vaccine. I do feed alongside dry cat treats (like dreamies) and water (of course). I can only get chicken flavour (with the 11+ product ) and would like to have alternative flavours to offer, but my cat does enjoy this flavour. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food for my aging cats. Keeps them healthy and active. I mix it with royal canin urinary and purina senior 11+ so they have variety and quality every day.

Q & A

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Hill's Science Plan Senior 11+ Chicken Cat Food, including answers from our team.

3 July 2014 at 5:10pm

Is the omega 3 and 6 content enough for dry skin?

Elaine

Hello
Our vet doesn't sell Hills Science Plan 11+ for cats so have always bought the senior/7+ for our cat (male); a rescue cat guessed to be 12 yrs old by vet. She advised a supplement of omega 3 and 6 for his dry skin (not hugely dry; and fur is very silky) but I am wondering if there would be an improvement if I switch to the 11+ Science plan dry biscuits without the supplement.

Many thanks

  • VioVet Staff

Unless your cat has an unusually high requirement for these oils, this Hills diet should contain adequate levels. I would suggest trying the diet just as it is. If you notice any change in the skin then it is possible to add supplements to it, but this is not usually necessary. Changing the rest of the diet can alter the overall balance of many things and supplements which were previously of benefit, might not now be needed.
