Description

Dogs need the right balance of minerals to maintain good bladder health. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which can lead to the creation of bladder stones. Please consult with your veterinarian if your dog is showing urinary signs such as frequent urination, blood in the urine, or others.

Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed Prescription Diet u/d clinical nutrition to be specially formulated to help support your dog's bladder health.

Not Recommended For:

  • Growing puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs.

Dry:

COMPOSITION:

  • Cereals, derivatives of vegetable origin, oils and fats, eggs and egg derivatives, minerals, meat and animal derivatives, seeds. Protein source: Dried whole eggs. Urine alkalising substances: Potassium citrate, calcium carbonate.

ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS:

  • Protein 10.0%, Fat content 19.1%, Crude fibre 2.4%, Total sulphur amino acids 0.52%, Crude ash 3.3%, Chlorides 0.52%, Calcium 0.42%, Phosphorus 0.17%, Sodium 0.22%, Potassium 0.57%, Magnesium 0.05%; per kg: Vitamin A 9,657IU, Vitamin D3 808IU, Vitamin E 575mg, Beta-carotene 1.5mg, Total copper 3.5mg.

Wet:

COMPOSITION:

  • Derivatives of vegetable origin, eggs and egg derivatives, oils and fats, meat and animal derivatives, various sugars, cereals, minerals, seeds. Urine alkalising substances: Calcium carbonate (3.1 g/kg), Potassium citrate (2.3 g/kg), Monosodium phosphate (1.1 g/kg). Protein sources: Dried eggs, pork liver.

ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS:

  • Protein 4.1%, Fat content 7.9%, Crude fibre 0.66%, Crude ash 1.2%, Moisture 70.1%, Total sulphur amino acids 0.27%, Chlorides 0.16%, Calcium 0.18%, Phosphorus 0.09%, Sodium 0.08%, Potassium 0.21%, Magnesium 0.04%; per kg: Vitamin A 6,560IU, Vitamin D3 301IU.

Exclusively feed the recommended Prescription Diet food. Before use ask your veterinarian for specific feeding instructions for your pet.

Fresh water should be available at all times.

New to this food? Mix increasing amounts of your pet's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food for 7 days or more. Your pet's nutritional needs may change as they age. Ask your vet at every checkup.

How much of this diet should I feed a 30 kg dod diagnosed with struvite crystals

This diet is not recommended for patients with struvite urolithiasis. You should contact your vet for advice on which diet would be best for this condition, there are other types of urinary diet available that would be more suitable.
