What food is best for sufferers of Pancreatitis please?
The Hills I/D Low Fat diet is usually the recommended diet in the Hills Veterinary range for pancreatitis. You ideally want a low fat food.
You will need to run the use of this diet past your vet though as it is a veterinary diet.

Can I give Hills i-d dog food instead of l-d food as the latter is unavailable?
Greyhound has had diarrhoea and now needs feeding up.
The dry and wet versions of I/D can be used together or interchangeably, yes.

I have a surplus of Chicken Stew and Veg. Sadly my dogs have died and a friend has rescued a puppy. Is this food suitable to give the puppy it has been illtreated and is under nourished. ?
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Yes this food is safe to give a puppy. However ideally your puppy should be a on a complete puppy diet as their dietary requirements will be higher than an adult diet provides.
This adult food will be safe for a puppy in the short term but not weeks/months on end.

Hills I/D is a great diet choice for a dog prone to intestinal upsets, it is specifically formulated to help resolve diarrhoea and colitis. Unfortunately it only comes in packs of 12 and we cannot sell individual cans of the food. Usually diet trials involve feeding a specific diet for 6 to 8 weeks as the only food though so it is advised to use more than a day or two of the diet before assuming it does not help. Your vet will be able to provide you more info on this.

Do I receive only Turkey or is mixed containing all types with vegetables
The Hills I/D standard wet cans of food (not the chicken stew version) comes only in one flavour. This is mainly turkey based but also contains other proteins, a full ingredient list is below:
COMPOSITION: Meat and animal derivatives, cereals, eggs and egg
derivatives, vegetables, minerals, derivatives of vegetable origin,
seeds.Highly digestible ingredients: Turkey, pork liver, rice, rice
starch, maize, dried whole egg, chicken.

Would Hills be appropriate for a dog with ongoing colitis?
Hills I/D is formulated to help support the gut and is great to help settle episodes of colitis. It is a veterinary diet so it should only be used alongside your vets advice, especially if your dog has been diagnosed with a colitis related condition.
