My horse has recently been diagnosed with minor soft tissue damage. He is currently on box rest, moving to turn out in a small paddock.
Would this assist with the healing and repair of the damaged ligament?
Glucosamine is mainly used for joint repair but it also used in the creation of tendons and ligaments. This product should help with the healing of your horse's ligament due to this. I have a twenty year old horse who is now showing signs of bone spavin with soft fluid swelling on the inside of one of his legs just below his hock. Would he benefit from this product or should I look for an additive which includes glucosamine and Chrondroitin?
Bone Spavin is caused by arthritis in the associated joints. A joint supplement is a great idea, I recommend choosing a comprehensive supplement with multiple ingredients that support the joint and it's normal function.
Gold Label Glucosamine contains Glucosamine (to help support the joint) and Devils claw (to help reduce any inflammation). You may also want to consider supplements containing Chondroitin, MSM and Hyaluronic Acid. Science Supplements FlexAbility Plus is very high quality product that contains all of these ingredients and is a great choice, but it can be on the more expensive side. GWF Joint Aid plus and NutriScience ArthriAid are more affordable options.
